Pioneer is proud to support this important conference.
We are pleased to announce, for the very first time, Pioneer is supporting the World Conference on Breast Cancer hosted by the City of Hamilton from June 7th – 11th, 2011.
The Canadian Cancer Society states that in 2011,
- An estimated 23,400 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer - 5,100 will die.
- An estimated 190 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 55 will die.
- On average, 98 Canadian women will die of breast cancer every week.
Delegates from all over the world will be attending the conference to share their knowledge on breast cancer, breast cancer survivors, patients and their support networks, research and clinicians. One of the initiatives taken this year was connecting with international organizations to develop programs to equip health care professionals in various countries to aid in educating women and men on early detection as well as tool to support their families through this ordeal.
Pioneer is supporting the Breast Cancer conference in a few ways:
- From June 7th – 11th all Pioneer car washes in the vicinity of Hamilton will use only PINK soap for their car washes. The PINK soap is complementary from Mondo.
- World Conference pins attached to Pink Ribbon will be available at approx. 90 Pioneer locations. Click here to download a PDF of participating locations.

Pins are $2.00, and 100% of proceeds go directly to WCBC.
