In Support of Military Families
Pioneer Energy is joining forces with our customers across Ontario in our third province-wide Operation Yellow Ribbon campaign running from November 1st - 14th, 2014, in support of soldiers and their families. In addition to the customer donations raised during this period, Pioneer Energy will be donating $25,000!
Until November 14th, you can visit a local Pioneer Energy gas station and you make a donation of at least $3, you will receive a Lapel pin. If you donate at least $5, you will receive a magnet for your car.
The funds raised will be donated to Canada Company, a registered charity that advocates for our troops at home and abroad. Pioneer's site-level campaign began four years ago in Hamilton, and the success of the campaign suggested that Pioneer customers across Ontario might also like to show their support for our troops in this manner.
"This is Pioneer's way of supporting a number of programs that provide for our soldiers, their families, and the regimental family they belong to," says Tim Hogarth, Honorary Colonel of the RHLO and President and CEO of Pioneer Energy. "This provides funding for a number of programs and initiatives such as scholarships, and helping soldiers transition to the civilian workforce. The government doesn't provide support for these initiatives. It's up to the private sector to step in."
Pioneer Energy, along with RBC, is proud to participate in such a worthy cause. Join us in supporting our soldiers and their families and show them how much we appreciate the sacrifices they make each and every day.
